Dr. Edgardo S. Barcelona, a past SPSA President in 2006, has been awarded one of the UPMASA’s Outstanding Alumni Award for 2022 for Excellence and Merit in Community Service. This is a well deserved award for he has been rendering this service to the underserved segment of the population in the Philippines for many years through the yearly, sometimes twice a year SPSA Surgical Missions, eventually becoming Co-Chairman and recently as sole Chairman.

The award will be given on July 4, 2022 At Boston, Massachussetts at the University of the Philippines Medical Alumni Society in America (UPMASA) Annual Grand Convention.
